Redneck Red Muscadine

Redneck Red Muscadine
Semi-Sweet, Fruit-Forward
Redneck Red Muscadine is a semi-sweet, bold red muscadine fruit-forward wine.
Pairs well with smoked or BBQ meats, meatloaf, spicy foods, pizza, jerk chicken, and sharp cheddar or smoked gouda cheese. It’s also perfect at the pool or beach!
Redneck Red Muscadine is made from the Noble Muscadine. Redneck Red has beautiful, rich color with a very bold muscadine flavor. It is smooth, easy to drink, and captures the true character of the wild Muscadine Grape.
Noble is a red-skinned muscadine grape (Vitis rotundifolia) developed by the University of Georgia and released in 1972 as part of a breeding program to create muscadine varieties well-suited for wine production. It quickly became one of the most popular red muscadine cultivars in the Southeast due to its high yields, disease resistance, and consistent quality.
Unlike some older muscadine varieties, Noble produces a dark red wine with rich berry flavor, moderate tannins, and a balanced sweetness—ideal for making sweet and semi-sweet red wines. It is also prized for its resistance to Pierce’s Disease and its adaptability to hot, humid Southern climates, thriving in places where traditional European grapes struggle.
At Landry Vineyards in West Monroe, Louisiana, Noble Muscadines are grown to produce the flavorful, fruit-forward Redneck Red Muscadine wine that celebrates the bold, native character of the South while offering smooth, easy-drinking appeal for both locals and visitors.
Red muscadine is often best served chilled or slightly cool—especially when enjoyed outdoors or with spicier foods.
