No.
That is sediment or tartrates in the wine, also known as “wine diamonds.” Although it does not taste good, they aren’t harmful and won’t make you sick. Sediment in wine is a common occurrence, especially for wines that are not tight filtered and rigorously processed. With most of our dry red wines and some semi-sweet wines, we do not tight filter, as we believe it helps to improve the quality of the wine and age ability. Most of the tartrates precipitate out in the tanks (lots of it), though occasionally some do so in the bottle. Sometimes the wine might get cold during storage at the distributor or in transportation. This can also cause additional precipitation of tartrates to occur.
Yes, we do! Our gift certificates can only be used for purchases at our tasting room and cannot be used towards online purchases.
