No.

It looks like there’s glass or crystals in the bottom of my glass… What is that?

That is sediment or tartrates in the wine, also known as “wine diamonds.” Although it does not taste good, they aren’t harmful and won’t make you sick. Sediment in wine is a common occurrence, especially for wines that are not tight filtered and rigorously processed.  With most of our dry red wines and some semi-sweet wines, we do not tight filter, as we believe it helps to improve the quality of the wine and age ability. Most of the tartrates precipitate out in the tanks (lots of it), though occasionally some do so in the bottle. Sometimes the wine might get cold during storage at the distributor or in transportation. This can also cause additional precipitation of tartrates to occur.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, we do! Our gift certificates can only be used for purchases at our tasting room and cannot be used towards online purchases.

What is the difference between and Concert and a Lagniappe Saturday?

Concert: Full band (4-5 men or women) playing on the stage at the bottom of the hill. There is a cost to attend. Guests can reserve a table. Bands are booked at the beginning of the year. There are no full tours on concert days, but we do offer wagon tours through the vineyards for all ages. CLICK HERE for event schedule.

Lagniappe Saturday: One man/woman playing music on the front patio under the pavilion (not a full band). There is no cover charge, but we do ask that you tip the musician. We do not reserve tables, first come/first served. Full vineyard and winery tours are offered on these days (CLICK HERE for tour tickets)
