This wine is aromatic and has nice fruit character including Tropical Fruit, Peach, and Pear.

Pairs well with Louisiana Cuisine, seafood, pork, chicken dishes, spicy dishes, light pasta dishes, and fresh fruit. It’s also perfect at the pool or beach!

Blanc Semi-Sweet is made with Blanc Du Bois wine grapes which are Estate grown (at Landry Vineyards). We carefully tend our vineyards using our educated and experienced viticultural practices to achieve soil balance, vine balance, dapple light (proper fruit sun exposure) and air flow.

Blanc Du Bois is a French/American hybrid that was developed by the University of Florida in 1968 by John A. Mortensen. Blanc Du Bois was officially released in 1987, is Pierce Disease resistant, fungus manageable and grows well in the Southeastern US. The gulf coast can be more of a challenge due to excessive rain at harvest, though we think we have found a sweet spot to grow Blanc Du Bois in West Monroe at Landry Vineyards due to decreased precipitation during veraison and sandy hills where the soil drains well, surface and sub surface. Our sight allows for north south orientation of the rows of vines which allows for proper fruit sun exposure and air flow (predominately southeast wind in the summer).
